TYHA

The Troy Youth Hockey Association (TYHA) is the governing body of all house hockey in the Troy Sports Center.

TYHA was been around since the building opened and continues to be a program that helps kids become hockey players. TYHA has house teams at all levels and continues to develop kids for the next level of hockey.

Summer Meltdown Hockey Camps

Led by dedicated Future Wings staff, our high-tempo, camps and clinics focus on improving each skater’s techniques and skills. Our staff teaches a variety of instructional programs year-round for hockey players of all ages and skill levels. We will have a low student to instructor ratio, and each offering will have a limited number of skaters.

Our Summer Meltdown hockey camps are designed for hockey players who are looking to take the next step to becoming a more proficient player. Each day skaters are on the ice for 3 hours and will enhance skating techniques, puck control, shooting, passing, team concepts, and defensive skills. Off-ice sessions will include high tempo dry land training and other hockey specific training. Lunch is provided daily and each participant receives their own Summer Meltdown jersey.

The league willl begin April 11th and will consist of 14 games. Teams will play 2, 20 minute back to back games per day, once a week. Games will be played on Wednesday or Sunday. Each team must have 4 players and 1 goalie minimum on their roster or 8 players, 2 goalies maximum. A $100 deposit is required to register a team and the entire team balance is due April 11th. The team cost is $700 per team. Any Troy Sports Center team can register for only $650 if half of the players on the team or more have skated at TSC during the Fall/Winter. This includes TYHA house, Grizzlies, Jaguars, Sting, and Future Wings players. There are house and open divisions available. Divisions may be combined based off of registrations. Game rules include: no checking, no slap shots, no icing or off sides, otherwise league follows USA Hockey rules and regulations. All minor penalties will result in penalty shots.
